The Microgrid Training was conducted and successfully completed in 2023. Technicians had the chance to attend Arizona State University, where they toured the campus and gained firsthand insight into the operation of their renewable energy systems and projects. The Microgrid Training provides a segway to advanced energy system and microgrid topics relevant to the modern energy job market will be presented through self-paced content, live interactive activities, discussions, lectures, and site-visits in a 5-week hybrid online/in-classroom training series. Participants can expect to learn basics of microgrids and advanced energy systems, design considerations, and integration techniques for system implementation.
